AK Medical Holdings Limited (“AK Medical” or the “Company”) is the medical device company that has commercialized the application of 3D-printing technology in orthopedic joint and spine replacement implants in China, commanding a leading position in the Chinese orthopedic joint implant market. AK Medical designs, develops, produces and markets orthopedic implants, with a focus on hip and knee replacement implants. AK Medical’s products include orthopedic joint implants for primary surgeries as well as those specifically designed for revision surgeries for the replacement, repair or enhancement of an implant or component from a previous procedure. AK Medical also markets orthopedic products produced by third parties as a distributor to complement our product offerings to customers. 

AK Medical markets its products under the brand name of “AK Medical” (“爱康”), which was the established brand of orthopedic joint implants in China by sales volume in 2017, according to Frost & Sullivan. “AK Medical” (“爱康”) was also the established domestic orthopedic joint implant brand by revenue in 2017. 

AK Medical developed and introduced its personalized 3D Accurate Construction Technology solutions, or “3D ACT solutions”, in July 2014. Its 3D ACT solutions assist surgeons in simulating and planning for implant surgeries, simplify surgical processes, offer personalized surgical instruments and pre-surgery selected implants and improve patients’ recovery experience significantly. AK Medical’s off-the–shelf or 3D-printed models are regulated by the CFDA. The Company currently has three types of 3D-printed products, including 3D-printed hip replacement implants, 3D-printed spinal interbody cages and 3D-printed artificial vertebral bodies, being the orthopedic company with 3D-printed orthopedic implants approved by the CFDA.Meanwhile, according to Frost & Sullivan, AK Medical is the company that provides one-stop orthopedic surgical solutions in China, integrating all four services, namely 3D-imaging and 3D-modeling, providing 3D-printed models and developing patient-specific surgical plans, producing 3D-printed surgical instruments, producing 3D-printed joint replacement implants. 

AK Medical has an extensive and growing nationwide distribution network. As of December 31, 2017, AK Medical had 650 distributors for its products, covering all of the provinces and 23 overseas jurisdictions. The Company also directly sells a portion of its products to hospitals through its wholly-owned subsidiary which holds the relevant distributor license. The Company mainly maintains these direct sales to establish and maintain direct contact with certain key end hospital customers and surgeons.

愛康醫療研發的定制化人工椎體協助北京大學第三醫院骨科劉忠軍教授團隊完成環椎腫瘤手術,在應用於脊柱手術禁區,先後被中央電視臺、鳳凰衛視、路透社等近百家中外媒體進行了報導。通過和國內知名骨科專家合作,愛康醫療相繼完成定制化人工肘關節、定制化人工腕關節、定制化人工肩關節和全骶骨假體植入,定制化膝關節手術導板臨床應用超過千例。

2015年8月由愛康自主研發的基於3D金屬打印技術的3D ACT人工髖關節系統獲得CFDA上市許可,成為經過臨床驗證並獲得CFDA上市許可的3D打印骨科內植入物產品,央視新聞頻道、國際頻道都進行了專題報道,在骨科學術界、產業界及3D打印工業界產生了轟動效應。產品自上市來,得到全國各地知名骨科專家的認可和廣泛的臨床應用。

Founded in March 2016, ITI Medical equipment co., LTD. (hereinafter referred to as ITI Medical) is a wholly-owned subsidiary funded by Hong Kong aikang medical international co., ltd. and is a high-tech company focusing on the r&d, production, sales and service of artificial joints and supporting surgical instruments. At the end of 2016 has won three knee surgery toolkit and eight hip surgery toolkit registration certificate and production license, the main production of three types of medical equipment, mainly including the orthopaedic artificial joints and the oral cavity and the related biological materials and its auxiliary products, after the completion of the project will form the annual output of about 150000 sets of artificial joint production capacity, in Asia and the world a single important production base of the production of artificial joints.


JRI Orthopaedics was formed in 1970 by orthopaedic surgeon Ronald Furlong to introduce the Müller cemented hip to the UK market and, in 1977, manufacturing of hip implants and instrumentation was established in Sheffield.

From the start, JRI has been committed to bringing the best people to deliver the best solutions in joint reconstruction, repair and regeneration.

In 1985, JRI became the first company to produce a hip implant with a Hydroxyapatite coating enabling a biological bond with the patient’s bone and so the prospect of a hip for life.

The Furlong H-A.C coated hip stem was a significant innovation in joint replacement. Since its first implantation, over 250,000 patients have benefited from this technology and, to this day, it has possibly the lowest revision rate at 10 years recorded on the National Joint Registry (NJR).

Today JRI is more than just a hip company – although we offer a complete portfolio of implants and instrumentation providing a variety of solutions from primary through to complex revision.
